And if you're brain-dead, having passed two tests for that, and someone is trying to keep you "alive" which happens all the time, more often in families "of faith" who really fundamentally don't buy that you will be going to heaven, the machines would be turned off. Yes, they really don't believe it, not deep down inside at least.

It's almost always "Do everything" even when it's not possible they would survive. 
If they really *believed*, it would be "let them go and meet God, ASAP".
