I'm reminded of an old Star Trek novel.

Scientists had created a Pegasus-like horse.

But, because its body mass was too large for its wings it still couldn't fly.

So they had to create a special low-g chamber for the creature to fly around in so the wing could be used and exercised.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"
