She was accused of offending religious feelings and maliciously interfering with the public performance of a religious act, both crimes in Poland that each carry prison sentences of up to two years.
It's good that she was acquitted but the fact that she was tried at all clearly shows that XXI century did not visited Poland yet.
If the law exists, it is to be upheld.
If the law is wrong, parliament (or whatever passes for parliament in Poland) should change it, or strike it from the books.
Putting someone on trial for an actual infringement and then dismissing the charges, just because the person is a political ally, is dodgy.
