It's a step in the right direction.
It wasn't so long ago that people would have said it's too soon for a black president.
Just look at all the racism Obama got.
Someone I debated online said, "you have to respect the office, even if you don't respect the man," when I criticised Bush.
Not so long later, the same 'person' was referring to Obama as the, 'n-word in chief'.
