Since we are specifically referring to the 3-year surge under the Biden/Harris adminstration it would seem silly to be bringing up presidents before even Trump's first term.

Via the Washington Post, illegal immigrations at the border spiked and hit record highs under President Biden between 2021 and 2023, averaging 2 million per year; even after re-enacting several Trump-era regulations border crossings it was only brought down to 1.3 million individuals over the first 3 quarters of the year.

Long ago, when the better part of you was still drying on the bed linen, I worked in restaurants. Many of them could have been nearly cleared out on any given night by shouting "La Migra, La Migra." Illegal immigrants have always and will always be here, and no border wall will stop them, your fascist fantasies aside. They'll come in droves, as they always have. They'll get rounded up, and sent back, only to show up again.

You want a sound plan to reduce illegal immigration? Let's work together with Mexico to make them a wealthy nation. Encourage businesses there and partner with them so we aren't as reliant on China. It's not the zero sum game you Trumpeteers think it is. There are reasons we have so few illegal immigrants from Canada. Their country isn't poor.
