Per the Department of Homeland Security, between 2021 and 2023 following the Biden/Harris/Myorkas removal of Trump era regulations, illegal crossing on foot by the border hit record numbers - spiking up to nearly 2 million more immigrants a year than under Trump.
At it's peak over 320,000 migrants were encountered at the border in a single month; all together the DHS has a rough estimate of about 5.6 million illegal immigrants encountered at the border and an unknown number that were able to cross without any government observation.
