The danger of pressing Iran too hard is that they feel compelled to build one or more nuclear devices as a last resort. Israel's assaults on them may have already pushed them to that point. One could make the argument that it's out of our hands now. Will we at some point feel compelled to finish the job by using bunker buster bombs to destroy Iran's deep nuclear facilities? Kill the wounded animal Israel has left us with?
