Some respectable scientists say that quantum particles randomly popping in and out of reality affect the firing patterns of neurons.

For all the evidence I've seen nature admits only determinism and randomness as causes for our thoughts.

To posit free will one must assert supernatural selves beaming thoughts into our brains.
