However, it is quite the contrary.
They already can do whatever they want to do without facing repercussions in most countries, but they are pushing the limits to the institutions of marriage and family.
I'm all for equality. I respect and defend people's choices and freedom to pursue whatever sexuality they feel happiest and most comfortable with. I treat homosexuals and heterosexuals exactly the same, as real human beings who deserve compassion and empathy.
As an asexual though, I'm eternally baffled as to why those of you who have sex are downright intolerable towards one another for your preferences. This homophobic attitude is irrational and as immature as children screaming "Eww!" when having their first lesson on sexual education.
I guess society and many of the people whom make it up still have a lot of growing up to do.
And I don't know what you're talking about.."preferences"...Is this a matter of preference, or a matter of biological attraction?
Really, make up your mind already.
Besides, it's nothing like that. Children would scream at homosexual sex the first time they see it too, but I know it from my own experience that I was significantly more irritated by homosexuals, when I first saw them at a gay parade in Berlin, than the prospect of actually trying to visualize how a man and woman would mate.

"I don't care if there are Turks 100 feet from me, but I'd like them to remain away from public eyes(as they are), as people are not reminded of their deeds each time they see them.
Obviously, many of them try to lead normal lives, without actually flaunting themselves to others, and that is much appreciated."
Actually no. But it serves my purposes too. Now we come to think of gays as something resembling a common "nation" or at least a minority of their own, and you tried to pull off a game of words on that basis, linking homophobia to xenophobia or racism. Obviously, it's unrelated. I do not really distinct between different ethnicities of gays. All are equally gay, suffice to say....
