You want to hear some amazing stories of WWII and good people who did amazing things read the Twentieth Train:
http://www.amazon.com/Twentieth-Train-St...128&sr=8-1
It's a true story about underground resistance fighters in Belgium who stopped a train going to Auschwitz ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twentieth_convoy ) and who along with those already on the train saved over 200 people. It also is an amazing account of the Belgian Underground Resistance as a whole too, it reads like a novel almost it's just an amazing book and I was SOBBING at the end. It makes you feel so small and insignificant when you hear of people like this doing such amazing things and risking everything to save as many as they could.

~*~Live a good life. If there are Gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are Gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no Gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones - Marcus Aurelius~*~
