The problem with posting links is that it is not YOUR argument, it's someone elses. It causes us to assume that you haven't the foggiest idea on how to defend what you believe, and because of that the majority of this board does not take you seriously. We could have your sort of discussion and quote mine back and forth all day long, but it would not improve our understanding of the subject matter, it would only prove that we know how to use google.
The reason you are ridiculed is because you stroll straight into the lions den, and instead of having a few actual debates under your belt so you understand the format, you begin start posting links and expect us to read through 3 and 4 page blocks of text written by someone else, we aren't debating them, we are debating you. Forget the links, you read them, you take what's useful from them, and you use them in an argument. We will refute that argument, expecting everyone to follow your treasure hunt through the muslim underground is preposterous.
If you want the respect of anyone on this board, and you know damn well you do, otherwise you would have left already because you certainly aren't here for converts, then I suggest you formulate your own arguments and present them. Why do you believe that Muhammed existed? Why do you believe that Islam is any more valid a religion than any of the thousands of other religions. Why is Allah real, and the thousands of other gods and goddesses men have worshipped false? Why is the Quran infallible? Why would anyone believe that the moon split in half? Why do militant muslims need to threaten people with death for insulting your religion, can't your god defend himself? Why is the worldview created by poor desert dwellers better than the worldview of 500 years of scientific progress? Why should we believe any of your claims, or any of the claims made by Islam if we don't believe the claims of christians, buddhists, hindus, wiccans, and jews?
