I'd have to pay in my precious time off, which I don't have a lot of - I know that's hard for people to understand for some reason but I only get two weeks out of an entire year and I have other places I want to go this year.

Who says Israel has to be your only destination? Have long stop overs each way.

They're paying - you don't choose where you stop or what you do. They hand you the travel tickets, you do what they say. This isn't me getting free money, it's me getting handed a pre-paid ticket to go to camel-land.

Besides, people are people everywhere. Any travel will enrich you if you let it.

I plan to get really enriched in England this year. Maybe next year it will be France. Also, I like plants for a reason. I really don't like strangers being in any proximity to me. Drives me batshit. I will be getting my own room for any hostels I stay at.

I don't want to go on a pilgrimage (which is essentially what this is, though they cloak it in other crap) and if I weren't being badgered by it I wouldn't have even had to belly-ache a bit to blow off steam.
