Most Christians are ignorant of the true extent of their religion's bloody history. They may know of a few past and current abuses but they don't realize it's inherent, self-destructive methodology. They are duped by centuries-old fear propaganda and new age spiritual advertising. When someone mentions the Inquisition or some abhorrant piece of scripture, they so readily pass it off as irrelevant for some insane reason. Their faith in God is so vague and undefined and entirely emotional. People want spirituality, and Christian churches are the extreme in monopolizing faith. It is also a peer pressure/"wanting to fit in" mentality. I think many Christians who go to church every week secretly doubt and criticize the whole game, but still attend for social pretense of great morality and "saintliness", which is a complete hypocrisy. Christians are hypocrites because they want to put up a front, or an image of piety, but it is all in vain. They are consciously decieving themselves to hide from the pain and uncertainty of their lonely existence. They find some comfort in believing what so many others believe. They don't truly investigate any of it but assume it is at least good and beneficial to be a Christian. But in reality, it is an ancient conspiracy to separate humanity from his own self worth and dignity by saying that only Jesus is divine and great as the son of God, and we are just pitiable sinners. Old World political propaganda to control the masses that unbelievably still works to this day.
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
