This so called "arab spring" is nothing more than a clever ruse, a new takeover of the middle east by the NATO.
True. It worked well in Libya they are doing it in Syria. Much easier then a full scale invasion like Iraq.
I also think Saudi Arabia is supplying a lot of weaponry, as the US sold them some 60 billion in weapons a couple years ago. Biggest arms sale ever.
Does anyone remember Bahrain protests? That was genuine, that is why the US did not scream for a no-fly zone and airstrikes. They actually blamed Iran for stoking the uprisings their, but in Syria they are "freedom fighters" and "rebels" that need the US help.
The Government of Bahrain has a cooperative agreement with the United States Military and has provided the United States a base in Juffair since the early 1990s. This is the home of the headquarters for Commander, United States Naval Forces Central Command (COMUSNAVCENT) / United States Fifth Fleet (COMFIFTHFLT), and about 1500 United States and coalition military personnel. Ah no wonder why the US didn't want to "help"
lol.
On 9 March 2012, hundreds of thousands protested in one of the biggest anti-govemrent rallies to date. According to CNN, the march "filled a four-lane highway between Duraz and Muksha".[101] The government said 100,000 participated in the march while opposition activists estimated the number to be more than 200,000.
