And that's just one. There's many that have been detected. Distance is the only barrier for us to over come.

Could be just illusions or humans wanting to think that there is more to the universe than just us. The sheer power of the universe is so hard to comprehend by humans so they assume that something else has to exist besides them. Search will be futile though, as religion does not support these claims.
