I have been offended by religious nonsense, but it doesn't offend me in general.

Two instances:

A certain someone telling my ex-husband that he hoped he made peace with god before he went to Iraq in case he died there. Terribly thoughtless and I am still irritated about it.

A family member stating loudly at my grandmother's wake that those of us who believe in Jesus will see her again. Don't know why, but that felt rather directed at me.

Very rare instances, but still offensive.
