RE: Did Rick Santorum almost call Barack Obama a nigger?

If the fact that Santorum wants to promote legislation that flies in the face of Supreme Court decisions didn't hurt his chances at the presidency, then I'd like to see people still support him after this little slip-up.
If George Allen can totally lose his chances at political office after 2006 by using the term "Macaca," a term heretofore almost unknown in America, I'd like to see Santorum try for political office after calling Obama a "nigger."
Of course, to me, it sounds more like "Nick," but I can't see too many words that begin with "Nick" that could apply to Obama, even in the conservative alternative reality.
