Populists always seem to the uneducated mind as "honest".


I'm not convinced education has much to do with it,in the same way many well educated and and highly intelligent people are very religious,not just the ignorant and/or stupid. I think it's more a matter of credulity and perhaps desperation and seeing what you want to see.

The educated people support populists to fill their own pockets.
Those who support populists with only simple answers on why they support them are generally the not well educated, and sadly ignorant.
Besides, I'm not insulting people's intelligence. People might be very intelligent, but still sadly ignorant about the world around them.
