Yahweh: The worshiping of a Volcano / fire GOD of War.

RE: Yahweh: The worshiping of a Volcano / fire GOD of War.
Quote:Your three day travel is based on the place you believe the Israeli nation crossed the Red Sea, and the travel is base on a 30 to 35 miles a day travel. That many miles by a mass of people, with cattle, donkeys and other live stock is unreasonable. The numbers I have seen on travel in that area by people who have actually walked that area say it's not possible, they were unable to do better than 20 miles or so and they did not have sick and elderly people traveling with them. The scriptures do not support a crossing of the Red Sea at that point.

Yeah and parting the red sea is about as believable as Zombies having sex and giving birth to baby zombies. .. Btw, it's based on 20 - 25 miles a day. And yes it is unreasonable, and it's why it's also evidence against the idea the Exodus had actually ever occurred. And you do realize you are in no better position regardless of where you cross. And btw, the crossing suggested would actually beneficial to the argument I am suggesting. No where does this argument of yours benefit you what-so-ever.

Quote:Laugh at this, that area receives only a half inch of rain a years. Let see you make a stream out of that, let lone supply water for at least 600,000 people, live stock and daily cleaning for a year.

You didn't read his whole thing did you.. And please prove there were 600,000 people. It would have take them more than 3 days to even count 600,000 people... And there is zero evidence supporting that many people migrating out of Egypt. Nor does it discuss exactly how many people died along the way. And again, your argument here is resting entirely on your assumptions of the conditions at the time, and your assumptions of the place they were at.. It's pretty funny that your entire argument rests on "rain water" as a means to ignore all the evidence presented. So I will repeat, you argument is entirely irrelevant to establishing the fact that these people worshiped a volcano GOD...

Also, there are volcanoes around the The Jezreel Valley.. Have you ever read Judges? This gives evidence that any and all Volcanoes were regarded as GOD, or the dwelling of their Lord..

Here's the Valley:

Here are the Volcano locations near the Valley:

Here is some scripture from judges:

Quote: * Judges 5:5 The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

* Judges 10:7 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the children of Ammon.

* Judges 13: 16 - 20 16 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, "Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread; and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD." For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD. 17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, "What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honor?" 18 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, "Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?" 19 So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD; and the angel did wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on. 20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.

Fun stuff! Tongue

Game set and match. Tiger

As far as a former member here.. Well, I am not sure if I've had an account here, though it's possible. I've been on more than just one Atheist forum, many of which don't exist anymore. Some of them I've closed accounts on, and others I haven't visited in ages. Like I said, I spend most of my time on Newsvine if I am blogging at all. Feel free to check my post history there. As for the Newsvine account or some sock-puppet comment in regards to that... Well, that's rather easy to fix as you can go back to that Article posted and look for this phrase:

Yeah it's me, the flaming evil sock-puppet

So perhaps we can work on just answering my question on whether or not I had ever had an account here. Yes..., No? If so, thanks for the welcome back party. Some how I get the feeling that if I had been here before, it wasn't a very memorable experience. That sounds offensive, but sorry, that is just how it is.. o.O
