The words Trinity or Rapture are not in the scriptures either. That doesn't mean their principles are not in there.
Burning billions of souls for the rest of eternity is torture and if you don't believe me, place a flame under your kid's finger for 1 minute.
I'm so tired of your tired semantics arguments. Punishment would simply be denial into Heaven ... no no ... TORTURE is excruciating infliction of pain that never comes to an end.
I have not said that one will burn in hell forever, as a matter of fact denial of heaven is what I have proposed, that hell is a lonely and dark place.
So you're telling me that the Bible is just kidding? That being thrown into a lake of fire for all eternity is just some silly metaphor, because I know A LOT of christians who believe that hell is a place of infinite unending merciless torture for humans as well as the boogeyman.
Is that part of the Bible not god's inspired word?
You do realize, that there are christians, such as my father who would call you a false prophet and a heretic for saying that the Bible isn't telling the word for word truth and that people like me an Min aren't actually going to burn forever. You do know this right?
No scripture never kids, I know many christians that believe hell is a place of judgement where people will suffer for eternity. I just don't share their view, am I right or are they, I could not say 100%. The way I see hell, we are totally responsible for our fate, getting there and spending eternity there. God use fire as a way to explain that hell is the most terrible place one could spend eternity, there is no way that man could understand hell as being the absents of all love, and the misery that no love brings.
I believe this about other christians and my view about hell, once I explain my view they would see that my view of hell is more frightening and horrible than just a lake of fire. Most do not accept my view, but they do see that I believe there is eternal punishment. You see I do not believe God would torture people, I do believe God is going to allow people to torment themselves, in a way that will be worse than a lake of fire.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
