Why do Athiests require 'proof' that God exists?

I can shoot watermelons from my tits. I won't show you under and circumstances, but I can do it. PROVE ME WRONG.

I can't prove you wrong and I accept that. However I do have serious doubts - biology and physics say its an impossibility.

I believe that a small dancing troupe of pixies can be found in the outer reaches of space. They are undetectable to science. Disprove this. What's that, you can't? Must mean they exist.

Well it must mean there is a possiblity that they exist. However a few differences are important - I know what pixies look like and if I were to observe the whole of space at the same time I could prove if they exist or not. However even with the same ability I can't prove God exists. That's a big difference.

Atheists do not need to justify anything as we are not making any claim,

Not all of you are, but many are claiming there is no God. That's the same as claiming there is a God.

I've said this before and can't recall who I stole it from to begin with... but I have an invisible monkey on my shoulder and he controls the weather. Every time it rains, you see the proof that he exists. Dare you say he isn't real without proof?

I use a similar argument as the one above. I can't disprove the existence of your monkey, but I would be better able to challenge his existence than that of God.

If a god possibly existed:

a) Why is it a he?

I use the pronoun 'he' for convinced, it could be any gender or genderless.

b) Why is there only one?

There could be many.

c) How did it come into being?

I don't know, but an entity so powerful could have existed before time. It could be woven into the fabric of reality.

d) Why does it care what happens on the celestial speck Tellus?

Maybe it doesn't, it could be benevolent, indifferent or sadistic.

e) Why (if it indeed is a creator) is it's design so flawed?

What makes it flawed? Maybe it wants it to be this way.

f) Why does it collect souls?

Maybe it doesn't, maybe we don't have souls.
