You overestimate human power exponentially... we do not currently posses the power to 'vaporize' the world, let alone the entire human race... and by the time we are (if indeed that ever happens): your religion's 'OMG END OF THE WORLD' will have to apply to hundreds... maybe thousands of starsystems... let alone tens of thousands of planets.
I have never understood 'The end of the world'... because our world is not flat, and it will continue to exist (although in which state?) probably longer than we (as a race) will.
Zeus isn't worhiped today??

Allah didn't claim the end times will come from the middle east? Where the hell do Muslims originate from?! (Surely i don't have to link up the quotes themselves...), Here's a link that will 'educate you' about the Koran, of which you shouldn't make statements about things you have nothing about.

Zeus was never a mortal man in their religion, he was the son of a god (who ate his own children), and the son (Zeus) murdered his daddy (Who had defeated chaos), and became the primary god figure to the Greeks.
Jesus told you to watch for the signs that have been crowded around the roadside of humanity since it went big.

the norse worshipers are still around. Forgive me for linking to you the english one online... i don't expect you to read that language. In Ragnarok... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnarök ... simply and aptly put.
And jesus is always right, amiright? And appearently i do not exist (As far a 'God' is concerned), and therefore i need not worry at all about the Apocalypse. I mean... if i don't exist... i clearly can't be killed. He can't do anything to me, because i don't exist. He can't do anything that would interfere with me in the slightest... because the concept of 'me' doesn't exist to him. He cannot have power over that which doesn't exist.
Tell me your god is not an idol after you visit the Vatican. And not only do you have that One god... but you have hundreds of little demigods... and of course little wanna-be god's son-characters...

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
