I don't have to make that assumption, I've already had multiple Christians who would have something to do with me. This isn't about me though--I'm looking for a general response from those who might have had similar/different experiences.

The former I would have more trouble with, because it seems likely that even on things we agree, our agreement would likely remain superficial. The later I can put up with. A Christian who respect facts in general but would cherry pick aspects of Christianity so as to avoid rejecting it altogether is no more disreputable than the fan of sports team that's been on a losing streak.
I think either one of these definitions you gave will work for the purpose of my question--I'm trying to get a very broad response, and not interject with my own viewpoints on it.
