This was not even possible until the invention of satellites, cable tv, internet. The book of Revelation mentions "fire raining from the sky". Unless he was either talking about nuclear war or meteors. Only John himself witnessed these visions. And I don't think he understood "nuclear missile". So he said "fire raining from the sky". In a recent interview Iranian President Ahmoud Ahmadinajad said, "Iran can rain down 11,000 missiles per minute on Israel". I will find link if you want..
