Well I didn't have any say. Male circumcision was simply routine in many Australian hospitals at the time.The mothers were usually told ex post facto.
Fortunately for me, I've always liked the look of my penis .More aesthetically pleasing than uncut,to me. Nor do I seem to have suffered in any way because of it.
BUT: That the mutilation of circumcision does no harm is not a valid justifcation. Neither are the excuses of tradition and/or religious ritual. I have only ever seem ONE (arguable) pragmatic justification: There MAY be health benefits in desert dwelling nomadic societies with limited water and poor static hygiene.
