Yes, ripped to the bone. Hahahaha. There's pictures of me on this site, a few of them with me shirtless. If you're "ripped to the bone" that might explain why you don't seem to actually know the first thing about Obamacare, meathead; too much time pumping iron, not enough time reading about the political matters you're whining pointlessly over.
Namely that the tax, like all other taxes, does not affect or has a lower rate for lower income brackets; specifically, individuals in the lower-income tax bracket pay much lower than those in the upper income brackets.
You earlier made some bullshit claim that you'll be paying $400-500 a month. For one thing, you're full of shit. The tax rate increase will be a .9% medicare tax increase. Allow me to clarify: DECIMAL POINT NINE. Less than one percent. The only way you're paying $500 a MONTH in it is if you're in the high-income tax bracket. The rest is paid for by taxes on health insurance providers, high-end "cadillac" premiums, unearned income on anyone making over $250k a year...here, here's a list.
Increase Medicare tax rate by .9% and impose added tax of 3.8% on unearned income for high-income taxpayers: $210.2 billion
Charge an annual fee on health insurance providers: $60 billion
Impose a 40% excise tax on health insurance annual premiums in excess of $10,200 for an individual or $27,500 for a family: $32 billion
Impose an annual fee on manufacturers and importers of branded drugs: $27 billion
Impose a 2.3% excise tax on manufacturers and importers of certain medical devices:$20 billion
Raise the 7.5% Adjusted Gross Income floor on medical expenses deduction to 10%: $15.2 billion
Limit annual contributions to flexible spending arrangements in cafeteria plans to $2,500: $13 billion
All other revenue sources: $14.9 billion
so where the FUCK are you getting this stupid-ass "I'm going to be paying $500 a month BAAAAWWWWW" bullshit from?? You're pulling numbers straight the fuck out of your ass and you clearly don't know what the fuck you're talking about so I will posit to you, either put up a quote on why you're going to be spending so much or admit you don't know what you're on about and shut the hell up. I have zero tolerance for people who talk about shit they don't know anything about and you clearly have no fucking clue about anything about this save what you've heard on Faux News.
Also if the national debt concerns you, you should SUPPORT this!
Summary of spending offsets: (ten year projection)
Reduce funding for Medicare Advantage policies: $132 billion
Reduce Medicare home health care payments: $40 billion
Reduce certain Medicare hospital payments: $22 billion
IE this bill will clear about $200 billion in yearly expenditures from the budget. That's a fucking ENORMOUS chunk of the deficit, GONE.
WHY. ARE. YOU. COMPLAINING.
