I have mixed feelings about 'the surgery.' I want a vagina, but there are a lot of things standing in the way right now. If I had enough money and I knew my boyfriend was going to be ok with it (he has his own body issues we're working on getting through), I'd probably do it. Still, I wish I didn't have to lose my penis to get one; I wish I could have both.
The finances are really standing in the way, though. Price tag for SRS starts at $12,000. I might look at just getting an orchiectomy for a fraction of the price and be done with it except that it would probably interfere with my 'job performance' and, consequentially, cut into my income.
