Yes, food is a need. Without it, you will starve. Some people do starve. It doesn't follow that there is an afterlife, or that it will have food.
Even if justice is a need, it doesn't follow that it is fulfilled in an afterlife.
There's no reason to expect that we always get what we need or deserve. This life tells us different.
