If God is capable of anything, he could have given humanity free will AND total safety from all dangers. Don't try to sell us the horse shit of an omnipotent God and then cover for his shortcomings by placing limits on his ability to create the universe.
What does omnipotence have to do with creating two opposing ideas, it can not be both ways. If you can't see this, then you need to sharpen your reasoning skills. Man makes evil and sin, so why should God protect you from it. I bet that's the way you must feel about your parents for not following your diapered little bottom around and saving you from your bumps and bruises. Sin brought dangers into the world and I believe God has left them here to remind us of what we have done.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
