Let me get this straight...
Someone has a limb amputated. In any country with a reasonably advanced medical system, this would have been performed by a doctor. Even if the amputation occurred accidentally, on the job, for example, the amputee would still have visited a doctor.
Detailed records would have been kept, x-rays taken, procedures would have been performed, etc.
And yet, not a single case of an amputated limb growing back ever being recorded by any doctor in any medical journal, ever.
So, the real question is, how gullible are you?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
