Why won't you if other Christians would have?
It is because I have the persepective provided by the very same christians you mentioned and their failed legalistic worship, to know this is not what God wants.
Christianity through it's mistakes has 'evolved' (for the lack of a less ironic term) beyond the legalism that was established in the dark ages. Because of this and scriptural support I know you do not have to die for whatever your sin of choice maybe. (unless the goverment we live under calls for it, even if the goverment calls for your head God does not in this life anyway.) If you literally had to die for your own sin whatever it maybe the the rest of us (all of humanity) would as well, whatever our sin of choice maybe.
This truth is what came out of the inquistion, the crusades, the witch hunts and everything else that demands strict legalism as a means of worship. Remember 'we' trough the freedom God has given us chose this path. A path we remained on until our blood lust was filled. For from the beginning The bible has give direction and freedom from legalistic worship. It seems 'we' like most of you are not ready to understand that.
