Lol i totally understand what your saying. I USE TO HAVE THE SAME VIEWPOINT.
Lol i think you have this assumption i just read random verses here and there. No brother. I read every verse with 9 translations and 3 tafsirs. Then challenge every single verse. And i haven't found a single bad thing yet.*Actually only bad thing that could be argued is the use of capital punishment and it's viewpoints on sodomy.
lol cherry picking? do you really think the Qur'an is like 99% kill people. 1% be nice. And ive ignored the rest?
So all you are going to do is repeat "I got it right and I am not cherry picking". Sorry not good enough.
1. Start with a naked assertion that a god of any label is a possibility at all(drink the Kool Aid first)
2. Use self serving circular reasoning "Quote your interpretation to prove your interpretation"
3. Pretend out of 7 billion people you were the only one lucky enough to get a cosmic bat phone to the cosmic mafia boss's mansion.
4.Ignore that other people do do the same thing you are doing for their pet deities too.
5. Ignore that Islam was not around 500,000 years ago when the first homo sapient evolved, and that evolution was going on prior to all our species current claimed superstitions.
6. Ignore that evolution is not label dependent.
You believe in a non material super brain that has no body, no material, no brain, no location, no neurons. Remember that every time you post and read the posts of Christians or Jews and remember they too claim a non material being too.
I can never say i got it right. I never know if i'm still holding on to the rope of Allah. But i can say some viewpoints are wrong. e.g. Someone who prayers to a rock and says this is Islam. I know the basics of Tawheed to say that's wrong.
