Going by the work they've done, many of them have added to the sum of human knowledge in spite of being religious.

As I said in my previous post - "if the Lattice idea turns out to be true it would mean that Theistic Evolution is closer to reality. The only big difference would be that the evolution of our own universe was set off by some alien species instead of a supernatural being."
