Almost every prostitute (in Australia) is on drugs. Using drugs is what erases their right to legal protection. As for prostitution being illegal in the USA, that's just one of the many reasons the USA is the laughingstock of the civilized world.

So the use of drugs (illegal I'm guessing) removes their right to protection under the law.

BTW I can't imagine why you found it so repulsive going into a brothel, unlike a church at least when you get molested it's because you paid for the privilege.
