If that had nothing to do with true atheism then a Christian could just say that you're examples have nothing to do with the true message of Christ.

"True atheism"? Atheism = lack of belief in god

Sure, Stalin was a "true atheist" but that doesn't mean he killed because he was an atheist. There is not atheist doctrine that says you should kill those who have different beliefs (or any atheist doctrine at all, for that matter). Not so with religion.
