Just because you do not know or refuse to accept how they arrived at their belief does not make them or their opinions stupid.
Theres just some opinions out there that are just fucking moronic and it doesnt make them right just to add at the end of the opinion "its because of my religion".
Some people who do not have the time or inclination to learn Greek and Hebrew and study the scriptures for hours on end, actually respect the opinions of those who do. And out of that respect they accept those opinions as their own.
Some people have had very personal and direct experiences that profoundly effect how they view things. This may make them more open to consider that there is more to this world than appears to be the case.
Some people have applied their own insights and reasoning to inform their opinions. However, reasoning is only as good as the assumptions on which is based.
None of these are mutually exclusive, most people form an opinion by reasoning from your own life experiences and relying upon respected authorities for relevant information.
You are wrong to consider yourself and your opinions superior just because the sources and underlying assumptions you rely upon differ from others and your believe yourself to be more rational.
