In Isaiah 53 it says "all we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all". Have you read that? In the Old Testament it talk a lot about the sacrifices that are made to atone for sins. Have you ever read the book of Hebrews?

Well, it is not a prescription. If it is possible to know anything about God, the things that are learned, if they are known, negate their negations. To say what God is is to say what God is not. So I believe what I do about God and deny what I don't believe.

I don't see how that is different from anything else.
