Whether I have poetic ability or not is very debatable. The question of whether to understand reality it is necessary to transcend your culture is a different story. I don't see how anyone could fail to appreciate that requirement. Why do you feel that you are immune from the pernicious effects of national pride?
What sort of evaluation: Whether they are true. Perhaps you would agree that it is necessary to transcend your culture, but disagree that Christian approaches to this are the best. I don't see how from this perspective you would say "my words are idle" if you realized the gravity of an ethnocentric, nationalistic outlook, what great violence and pain results from people's national pride, how damaging it is to the world.
