I do however, have problems with one thing: the acknowledgement of my grandfather to having seen angels just before both my mother and his sister dying. Is there a solid argument for why seeing angels is a delusion? (he was illiterate, believed in god, and went to church while living a simple life as a carpenter)
Since your grandfather is apparently an expert on angels, could you ask him this question, which nags at me incessantly: When an angel wants to fly, does he/she (it?) actually have to FLAP its wings like a bird, or does it simply EXTEND its wings and point one or both arms upward and just take off (like Superman does)? Or, are they actually capable of instantaneously disappearing and reappearing wherever they choose, and the wings are merely for decoration? Is it a coincidence that when the bible was written, the only beasts capable of real flight (birds) had wings, so that when angels were described as being able to “descend” from heaven, they were attributed wings also? I just can't stop thinking about these things...
