I think a more fundamental point he made was that Christians will deduce that a non-believer is wicked because they have inherited sin which is then running rife in their lives. This has been especially true with the Christians I know in real life. Once I came out of the closet, I've had a lot of subtle comments thrown at me that suggest I party hard and have sex 24/7. If anything, being unshackled from religious baggage has heightened my sense of morality and I find that being moral in my own strength is infinitely more noble than bowing down to an institution led by superstition.
