Hitler hated the RCC, Protestants and (most of all, obviously) Jews. He may have liked some things about the Christian faith, however had he been successful in creating his own "denomination" it would be as extreme to Christianity as Islam is. I mean he would denounce all the Jewish roots and heritage, exclude them all from his choice of scriptures, and probably exclude any NT books that he didn't like too. So it's inaccurate to call him a Catholic in his later life.
