I think that any eternity doing one (or only a few) things over and over sounds like hell, regardless of where you're doing it. An eternity of patting god on the shoulder and reminding him that he's just the bestest friend ever? I'd be tired of that after a few minutes. The alternative is apparently to spend eternity in a situation that's just as monotonous but only slightly more uncomfortable.
