Doesn't follow. There being no god in no way precludes the existence of an immortal soul - case in point, there have been many belief systems which are void of gods but chock full of "immortal souls"

Again, it doesn't follow. Meanwhile, you and I both would accept the existence of "consciousness" (though I'd add heavy qualifiers) in this world, right here - in which there is a disagreement about the status of the existence of gods. Regardless of which persons pov is accurate (between you and I) consciousness still seems to be on the table either way.

Apparently you, and also I - and again we see a place where a belief in a god or the existence of a god seems to be completely toothless. If there were no gods would you suddenly stop giving a shit? Would you devote your life to any of those things above that you negatively value (laying aside criticism of -why- you negatively value any of those things)

Love has some magic it it. Love is like a newborn baby its pure and saint.

Does it now? I was unawares. Do you know much about the "purity" of a newborn baby - what does this mean and how did you aqcuire this knowledge - or- is it (as I suspect) a platitude? What magic? Do you similarly wonder how -anything- could have come from the same void - or do you suspend your wonder and skepticism when invoking gods and magic?
