Frankly I would like to find the asshole who invented there is a "lesson" to the holy holocaust and ram down his throat the FACT that real history does not contain lessons. ONLY invented history contains lessons.
The suggestion that evolution has a lesson is right up (down?) there with creationism. Who put the lesson into evolution?
However if you are going to try the "we can learn from history" then sticking with a religion disliked by the vast majority of the population is downright stupid. But that is a lesson not learned. We can also look at the attempted extermination of the Christians by the Jews. Don't start a fight you can't finish.
