I think you're taking the comments that Einstein said too literally to mean "your [personal] god".

Einstein, if he was 'religious', was a pantheist. He rejected the idea of a intervening god that controlled everything, and he certainlly rejected the idea of a god that answered prayers at sporting events or when people were sick.
