When you say "ancestry", you mean history of ownership right?
What about your ancestors? Are they the ones who sold their own into slavery or were they simply too inferior compared to rival tribes?
If I believed in morals, I'd say that the ones who did the selling are worse than the buyers.

You may hate yourself, but I don't.
As for my ancestors, well as morals are transitory, then it lends to the actions of people centuries ago being morally correct. Or we at least we cannot objectively condemn them.
