Self hating? No, I'm speaking of minor cultural differences. British on the whole, are more practical. More down to earth. Also much more reserved.
Americans, especially Texans, are wildly more friendly, way more fun, but much more inclined to flights of fancy, including being way too agreeable to utter nonsense like religious views.
IQ levels I would estimate to be basically the same.
