I would like a little more elaboration, if you don't mind. I was taught growing up Southern Baptist that if I believed in God, and if I believed that Jesus was the Son of God, made flesh, that he died on the cross for my personal sins, and accepted him as my Lord and Savior, that I would be Saved.
Are you in agreement with this from your understanding being a Southern Baptist? I know that you mention in your profile that you differ in some respects.
Yes I agree, I would add that Christ was of a virgin birth and raised from the grave. To my knowledge most protestant denominations believe this, some will add baptism. My beliefs differ with most Baptist in the areas of hell and the loss of salvation, I do not claim that I'm correct about either.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
