Don't listen to the Christian. Let them ridicule and give it back in equal stride. Remind them of the stupidity that their religion shares with EVERY OTHER religion.
Right, when an atheist is dependent on his/her hardcore christian parents the best way is to ridicule their beliefs

This is precisely my problem. I don't want to hide my beliefs, because I shouldn't have to. If they can be freely Christian, then I can be freely Atheist. However, I can't fight fire with fire, because they'd just throw me out. I've tried using intelligent arguments, but they don't work with their backwards "logic." Right now I'm being forced to grin and bear it, but even this is miserable.
