This is the typical horse shit answer of a dirtbag christian: "Do whatever to get by, and just cower in fear until it's clear to live free. " What a shitty piece of advice. Seriously ... FUCK YOU!

Cin, we've had at least one member here actually get kicked out of their house - I believe at the age of 16 - because he wouldn't fake it.

I think Capn has the right of it. Put out a call to more than friends - sometimes even just acquaintances will be willing to rent you a room if you're in dire straits.

Don't try to logic them into not believing. Don't try to reason with them. Don't engage them on it. Change the subject if it comes up or tell them you won't discuss it further. Find things to do at night (like looking for a job) so they can't take you to evening services.

People who are entrenched in stupid beliefs and more willing to hold on to them than their family are impossible to deal with. I didn't speak to an aunt for over 2 years because she found out I had gotten tattoos and now couldn't be buried in a Jewish cemetery. Little did she know I was atheist and thus didn't give two fucks anyway. The resulting argument between me, her and my mom (who took my side only in that no one should be insulting her daughter) caused complete communication black out. Over some skin ink. Seriously. She still only talks to me when it conveniences her, which is partly due to her personality, and partly because I won't respect her as the supposed Jewish matriarch of the family.

Concentrate right now about getting out, then on setting up your life as best you can. If your parents don't like it, remember that to them you're going to burn in hell, and you can tell them that if they wish to see you in the meantime (between now and hell) they'll keep their opinions to themselves. And I would tell any extended family who tries to get in on it to go fuck themselves (as politely as you can). They don't have any real bearing on your life.
